Characteristics:
The BioVector's Sf-RVN Insect Cell Line is a rhabdovirus-negative Sf9 cell line that can be grown in both adherent and suspension culture. BioVector's Sf-RVN Insect Cell Line has been adapted for growth in chemically defined medium to be used for the production of recombinant proteins, adeno-associated viruses (AAV) and viral-like particles (VLP). The cell line was tested for adventitious agents and banked under GMP conditions. A technical user guide, with detailed protocols for optimal performances, is provided with the cell line. The BioVectorTM Sf-RVNLec1 Specific Complete Medium, recommanded for use, is optimized to get excellent growth and productivity of the BioVector's Sf-RVN Insect Cell Line. Combined, these two products form the BioVector's Sf-RVN Platform.

Produces immature, relatively minimally processed N-glycan precursors that can be removed from the polypeptide backbone using endo-beta-N-acetylglucosaminidase H (PubMed=34838817).
Devoid of SfRV rhabdovirus (from parent cell line).
